Engineer – Operations Planning and Systems Integration <<>> Location: Middletown, NJ
- Must have solid experience with operations engineering, which means analyzing current operations (interworking of people, processes, systems, technologies, metrics, etc.), understanding the future mode of operations needs, doing gap analysis of current mode vs. future needs, designing the best-in-class future operating environment for the future, and planning on how to get from current mode to future mode, including developing operational requirements on work centers, systems, portals, etc.
- Candidate should have significant experience in service assurance operations processes including but not limited to fault management, capacity management, performance and change management, routine maintenance and configuration management.
- Candidate should be well versed in these disciplines from a technology perspective as well as process.
- The ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate technology capabilities to Operations teams in order for Operations teams to be able to support the new technology.
- This contractor will be working on highly complex projects that are strategic and critical to the business, resulting in significant changes to operations, engineering, the network and operations and business support systems.
- The contractor will perform analysis, define requirements, and participate in/lead reviews to insure that a sound operations and engineering plan is developed, that the operations and interfaces into the network and systems platforms are consistent, comprehensive, all inclusive, and that the integrity of the end-to-end solution is maintained as the project goes through all phases of development.
- The contractor will assist in developing a set of OA&M test scenarios that will drive integration testing to validate the operations plans by developing a set of OA&M test scenarios that can be customized to reflect specific service requirements.
- With this being a new organization, the contractor may assist in identifying, defining, and implementing appropriate methodologies and tools.
- The contractor will need excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong collaboration skills to be able to help build and maintain strong working relationships with our partners to ensure they understand the value of the systems integration methodologies and are aligned to a set of common objectives.
- The contractor will need to have strong analytic skills and a background in service realization and operations or engineering to help define and drive creative solutions to very difficult integration problems.
- It is desired that the contractor have operations planning and business analysis experience in network technology delivery and/or software development and delivery experience
- The contractor will need technical project management skills to be able to manage the project and report status.
