  • Managed Security Services Team Tier 2 Network Security Firewall Engineering role
  • The Managed Security Services Team is seeking qualified candidates for Security Solutions Team Support role.
  • The candidate’s primary responsibility is to provide network security customer support in a shared environment supporting multiple customers in a Fault Management and MACD Change Management operations support structure for new a large number of clientele.
  • The skill set required for the position would be equivalent to a Tier 3 in TCP/IP and Cisco Networking in an Operational Network Operation Center environment which correlates to a Tier 2 Security Networking role in our Security Network Operation Center environment.

 

TOURS:

  • Candidates must be willing to work a determined shift in a 24/7/365 in an operational support environment.
  • Some substitute rotation during off-shifts, including nights and weekends may be required. Once candidate is selected, their shift will be determined based on the business need and current shift opening.
  • Scheduling does include some flexibility to a 4 day on/3 day off schedule for non-first shift schedules, weekends may include a 3 day on/4 day off schedule, or a 5 day schedule is an option as well.

 

Critical required skills with at least 2-4+ years experience:

  • Cisco PIX firewall
  • Checkpoint NG (Next Generation) firewall experience running on Nokia and Sun platforms

 

Critical skill required with at least 4+ years experience:

  • Cisco Router configuration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Unix entry level experience – at least one year.

 

Preferred but not required skills:

  • Lucent Brick firewall
  • Blue Coat Proxy
  • Juniper Netscreen firewall
  • Cisco IDS experience

 

Preferred but not required security related certifications:

  • CISSP
  • All Cisco certifications
  • Checkpoint CCSA and/or CCSE
  • Nokia and SUN Microsystems

  • Candidate will be responsible for configuring and maintaining customer infrastructure firewalls (Checkpoint, Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: initial configuration, code upgrades, VPN setup, adding/deleting rules, performance analysis, rule analysis for customer submissions, design validation, minor architectural recommendations, and break/fix troubleshooting.
  • Candidate will be a part of pager rotation that is currently once every 4 weeks and will work projects that require off-shift availability.
