System Engineer <> Location: Middletown, NJ

• Looking for enthusiastic, technical and proactive systems engineer with hands on and analytical experience for DNS and CDN performance and service management.

 

Activities will include:

• Designing test methodologies (including metrics, criteria, active vs passive probes, real time vs off line analysis)
• Working with third party vendors or internal teams to develop prototypes to finalize solutions
• Hands on work including prototypes, scripting for analysis or troubleshooting
• Troubleshooting guides, Methods and Procedures and support to operations teams
• Scope includes performance/availability/reliability for large scale DNS clusters, DNS based services and CDN nodes and infrastructures.

 

Skills:

• TCP/IP, Web, DNS performance analysis and troubleshooting
• Experience with tools for measuring and analyzing TCP/IP, DNS or Web performance (Keynote, Gomez, Brix, Webmetrics, etc)
• ExFO/Brix hands on experience
• Scripting and platform experience
• TCP trace analysis and tools to troubleshoot performance (wireshark, tracing issues)
• IP Networking/Routing experience for WAN and LAN/Data Center (including routers, Load Balancers, switches)
• Complex Data Analysis
• IPv6 experience
• DNS expertise
• CDN (caching, streaming or multicast)
