  • The project manager will be assigned various projects related to the cell site backhaul programs, starting with Expanded Node/SIAD Configurations for both MSN/SIAD vendors, ALU and Cisco.
  • Work assignments or re-assignments for other CSBH-related projects for either or both MSN/SIAD vendors may occur, as required.
  • The project scope is for lab testing and certification, first field application (FFA) deployment, testing, and certification and, in some cases, limited, controlled introduction deployment.
  • The project manager will be responsible for gaining agreement from stakeholders and documenting a baseline plan, and then detailed tracking and coordination of project inputs, schedules, resource constraints, and project-level communications.
  • The project manager will use the MNPMO (Mobility National Program Mgmt Office) management processes and best practice guidelines to manage and produce deliverables to support the projects on a daily basis.
  • Ultimately, the project manager is responsible for all tasks that are necessary to support the project and has responsibility for ensuring appropriate project team members perform and complete those activities in a timely manner.
  • Status reports on the projects will need to be produced in a predefined format, on a weekly basis, and submitted to the project team, PMO Program Management, and others identified during project kick off/baselining.
  • This report will represent the weekly snapshot/progress status report for each project. Executive presentations will be created on an as-needed basis at the request of upper management.

 

These include:

  • Developing detailed work breakdown structure for each stage
  • Prepare project schedules using network scheduling techniques and constraint optimization
  • Providing scheduling and capacity recommendations to Program Manager and/or appropriate levels of management
  • Identify and report on risks and jeopardies using the project mgmt tracking tool
  • Ensure that critical path dates are baselined and managed effectively.
  • Host regularly scheduled meetings with the project team to provide steering and identify latest status.

Network Implementation Engineer <<<>>> Location: Memphis, TN

  • As a member of the Life Cycle Management team the primary responsibility of this position is to support the data engineering needs of the clients network in an outsourcing environment.
  • High level individual contributor engineer conducting network design, implementation and/or configuration activities
  • Supported technologies/components include: routers and switches, wireless, load balancers, firewalls and DNS/DHCP.
  • Develops implements and maintains engineering standards and practices.
  • Build and ship new hardware, perform test and turn up, engineer and coordinate implementation of changes to existing devices.
  • Coordinate with and interact as an advocate to 3rd party vendors.
  • Respond to daily operational issues, resolve technical issues as well as troubleshoot with vendors, customers, and peers, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Effectively manage work load using Workflow Management tools.
  • Manages special projects on an as-needed basis.
  • Weekend and evening work is often required.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Technical expertise in the fundamentals of network design in more than one area of network engineering
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining complex designs
  • Five or more years of data network engineering WAN/LAN experience
  • Wireless network engineering experience
  • Strong organizational, communication (both written and oral), and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Strong Customer Relationship Management skills
  • Ability to work with technical and business-oriented teams and clients
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation on devices, applications and systems
  • Proficient with Visio
  • CCNA Certification
